Apple Crisp with Cheese


4 Cups Sliced Apples (I use Golden Delicious, about 5 of them)
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
2 Tablespoons Water
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Flour
1/2 Cup Butter
1 Cup Velveeta Cheese, cut up (I have tried it with real cheddar but the cheese gets hard after this much time in the oven).

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Place apples in an 8" square baking dish. Sprinkle evenly with cinnamon and pour water into dish. Stir gently so that apples are all coated with the cinnamon mixture. In a medium bowl, combine flour and sugar. Using two knives, or a pastry blender, cut in butter until mixture resembles course crumbs. Stir in cheese. Sprinkle evenly over apples and bake for 50-60 minutes, until apples are tender.
